Overview & Highlights

Welcome to Yue Xiang Ting, a hidden gem nestled in the bustling streets of Kulai, Johor. Located at 70, Jln. Kenanga 29/11, this delightful restaurant is a haven for lovers of traditional Chinese cuisine. With a cozy atmosphere and a nostalgic vibe, it’s no wonder that diners have been flocking here for years, making it a beloved spot for locals and travelers alike.

The menu at Yue Xiang Ting is a true testament to the flavors of home-cooked Chinese meals. Customers rave about their horfun and noodles, noting the exceptional flavors and the wok hei—a prized charred aroma that is often hard to find. For instance, the char kueh teow has been hailed for its perfect balance of taste and texture. Pair this with their generous portions of seafood—which comes highly recommended for its freshness. Diners like Vibeeshan Pillai appreciate the authenticity and hefty servings, perfect for sharing with family and friends.

Additionally, Yue Xiang Ting offers a variety of noodle and rice dishes, each priced reasonably at around MYR 15.00, making it accessible to all. Standout items include the Sweet & Sour Pork Rice and Ginger Onion Fish Rice, both of which showcase the restaurant’s commitment to quality. The herbal chicken has been praised by customers like Irene Lee, who noted its delightful flavors, perfect for takeaway.

Vegetable lovers won’t be disappointed either; a dish of large baby kailan features freshness that enhances any meal. The restaurant ensures that even simple side dishes are well-prepared and bursting with flavor.

The ambiance of Yue Xiang Ting further elevates the dining experience. It is primarily staffed by friendly aunties who prioritize service, ensuring that your meals arrive promptly and with warmth. This cultural touch makes it feel like home—a welcoming environment that fosters connections over the dinner table.

Overall, if you're ever in the area, make sure to stop by Yue Xiang Ting. Whether you’re looking for a hearty meal after shopping at Aeon Mall or simply craving some great Chinese food, this restaurant promises quality dishes at reasonable prices. It’s a nostalgic stop that offers much more than just a meal; it’s a true dining experience worth savoring.

Foodwise, come here for the horfun and the noodles. They are absolutely great! The rest tasted alright and quite nice though not phenomenal. The only let down was the soup - which was too starchy.

This typical chinese restaurant gives out a nostalgic vibe. Food is traditional but tasty. Service staff are mostly aunties but food arrived promptly. We find the herbal chicken good so dabao a few home. Half a chicken cost rm35 which is higher than the famous TS herbal chicken but is enough for 5 pax to share. Indonesian prawns were very fresh, so we ordered mantou to eat with the gravy.

The Seafood here is super fresh and it comes with really generous portioning. The flavors are authentic as well, and the dishes we took are delicious. Do visit if you wanna enjoy seafood with friends and family.

Been having food from them for the past two decades when we drop by Kulai. Always forget to take photos of their food before they end up in the tummy. Char kueh teow has the wok hei that is hard to find in Singapore. Kids love their fish maw soup, which has crab meat, artificial sharks fin etc in it and goes really really well with black vinegar. We had Malaysian relatives whom held the wedding at the restaurant before too. Overall, it’s an awesome place for good food at reasonable pricing. The restaurant is just a turn along the shophouses behind Aeon Mall @ Kulaijaya. Do a stopover for lunch / dinner if you are coming here to shop at JPO.

Pretty nice restaurant. The food is tasty and delicious. Priced reasonably. Worth our visit. Good food good service

Quite a nice restaurant to dine in. Serving of food is pretty fast. Price is reasonable. My view is that food was much better years ago, but still ok for casual family dining.

Highly recommend for the good service and delicious food. I will definitely come back for the steamed Cod Fish, the Spinach soup, lemon fried chicken
